A big change happened in 2012 when another famous bagel company in New York City, H & H Bagels, closed down. This created a chance for Davidovich Bagels to grow. In 2013, they opened their very first store where people could buy bagels directly from them. This store was located in the Essex Street Market.
On February 9, 2023, something special happened. Davidovich Bagels were chosen as one of five types of bagels to be shown to the U.S. Congress. A group called the "Bagel Caucus" in Congress, led by New York Representative Dan Goldman, presented them as an example of a "Real Bagel" on National Bagels and Lox Day. This shows how important their bagels are considered!
