Davis Junction is a small village located in Ogle County, Illinois, United States. In 2020, about 2,512 people lived there. The village was named after Jeremiah Davis, who helped start the settlement. It is an important spot where different railway lines meet, including the Illinois Railway and the Canadian Pacific Railway. It is also home to the Orchard Hills Landfill, which is one of the largest in the United States.

Village History
Jeremiah Davis planned out the village of Davis Junction in the 1870s. He decided to name the new settlement after himself. A post office has been open and serving the people of Davis Junction since 1875.
