Devonte Wallace, born on December 21, 1991, is a former American football player. He played as an offensive tackle, a very important position on the football field. Before playing professionally, he played college football for the New Mexico State Aggies at New Mexico State University.
Playing Professional Football
Starting in the NFL
After college, Devonte Wallace joined the Miami Dolphins in 2014. He was signed as an undrafted free agent. This means he wasn't chosen in the main NFL draft, but a team still wanted him to play. He spent time with the Dolphins during the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
Later in 2015, Devonte also played for the Carolina Panthers. He continued to play as an offensive tackle for them.
Playing in Canada
After his time in the NFL, Devonte moved to Canada to play in the CFL. From 2016 to 2017, he played for the Toronto Argonauts. The CFL is a professional football league in Canada, similar to the NFL but with some different rules.
College Achievements
While playing for the New Mexico State Aggies in college, Devonte was recognized for his skills. He was named First-team All-WAC twice. This happened in both the 2011 and 2012 seasons. This award means he was one of the best players in his college conference.
