In his senior year of high school football, Turner ran for 519 yards. He also scored 7 touchdowns. He was recognized as a first-team All-Area and All-District player.

College Football Career

Turner started his college football journey at Copiah–Lincoln Community College. In his second year, he led his team with 600 rushing yards. This earned him a spot on the MACJC first-team All-State list.

After that, Turner transferred to Alcorn State. He played there for three more years. In his senior year at Alcorn State, he had an amazing season. He rushed for a school-record 1,357 yards. This was the second-highest in the entire FCS. He also scored 10 touchdowns.

Because of his great performance, he was named first-team All-SWAC. He also received third-team All-America honors from the AP FCS. Turner finished his college career with 2,121 rushing yards. Professional Football Journey

Baltimore Ravens

De'Lance Turner began his professional career in 2018. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. This means he wasn't chosen in the NFL draft but was still signed by a team.

He was later put on the Ravens' practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but aren't on the main roster. On September 12, 2018, he was moved to the active roster. This happened after another running back, Kenneth Dixon, got injured.

Turner played his first NFL game on September 13, 2018. It was against the Cincinnati Bengals. He played on special teams, which are groups of players used for specific plays like kickoffs. In Week 4, against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he had a four-yard run and a ten-yard catch. Unfortunately, he was placed on injured reserve on October 13, 2018, due to a hamstring injury.

He was released by the Ravens in August 2019. However, he re-signed with their practice squad the very next day.

Miami Dolphins

On November 5, 2019, the Miami Dolphins signed Turner. They took him from the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad. He stayed with the Dolphins until May 16, 2020, when he was released.

Ottawa Redblacks

In 2021, Turner signed with the Ottawa Redblacks. This team plays in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was released by the Redblacks on May 6, 2022.

Montreal Alouettes

Turner then signed with another CFL team, the Montreal Alouettes, on May 15, 2022. He was with them for a short time and was released on May 30, 2022.
