De'Lance Turner, born on August 23, 1995, is an American former professional football player. He played as a running back, a position where players carry the ball. He played college football at Alcorn State.

Early Life and High School Football

De'Lance Turner grew up in McLain, Mississippi. He went to Perry Central High School in New Augusta. While there, he was a talented athlete. He played baseball, basketball, and football.

During his senior year in high school, De'Lance was a star on the football field. He ran for 519 yards. He also scored 7 touchdowns. He was named a first-team All-Area and All-District player. This means he was one of the best players in his region.

College Football Career

De'Lance started his college football journey at Copiah–Lincoln Community College. In his second year, he was excellent. He led his team with 600 rushing yards. He was named first-team All-State in his conference.

After two years, De'Lance transferred to Alcorn State. He played there for his final three years of college. In his senior year, he had an amazing season. He rushed for a school-record 1,357 yards. This was the second-highest in the entire FCS. He also scored 10 touchdowns. Because of his great play, he earned first-team All-SWAC honors. He also made the third-team AP FCS All-America team.

De'Lance finished his college career with 2,121 rushing yards. This is the fifth-highest in Alcorn State's history. He also scored 15 touchdowns.

Professional Football Career

De'Lance Turner went on to play professional football. He played for teams in both the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Baltimore Ravens

De'Lance signed with the Baltimore Ravens in 2018. He joined them as an undrafted free agent. This means he wasn't chosen in the NFL Draft. He was later added to the team's practice squad. On September 12, 2018, he was moved to the main roster. This happened after another player was injured.

He made his NFL debut on September 13, 2018. This was in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He played on special teams. In Week 4, he had a four-yard run and a ten-yard catch. However, he was placed on injured reserve in October 2018. This was due to a hamstring injury. He later returned to the Ravens' practice squad in 2019.

Miami Dolphins

On November 5, 2019, the Miami Dolphins signed De'Lance. He joined them from the Ravens' practice squad. He was with the Dolphins until May 2020. He also had tryouts with the New York Jets in August 2020.

Ottawa Redblacks

In 2021, De'Lance signed with the Ottawa Redblacks. This team plays in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was released by the Redblacks in May 2022.

Montreal Alouettes

De'Lance then signed with another CFL team, the Montreal Alouettes. This happened on May 15, 2022. However, he was released shortly after, on May 30, 2022.
