DeAndre John Lansdowne (born June 6, 1989) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for the Niners Chemnitz team in the German Basketball Bundesliga.
DeAndre played high school basketball at Sandia High School in Albuquerque. Later, he played college basketball for the Fort Lewis Skyhawks in the NCAA Division II. After college, he took a break from basketball until 2015. Then, he signed with a team in Mexico. Later that year, he moved to Germany, where he played professionally for four years. He also played in Italy and France.

DeAndre's High School Days
DeAndre Lansdowne was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was adopted at age six by John and Betty Lansdowne. He went to Sandia High School, where he played point guard and small forward.
In his junior year (2005–06), he averaged 4.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. He was also an All-Metro Honorable Mention. In his senior year, DeAndre averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. He earned All-Metro and All-District first team honors. He was also named Metro Player of the Year. Besides basketball, DeAndre also played soccer at Sandia.
Playing College Basketball
After high school, DeAndre went to Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. This college played in the NCAA Division II.
- Freshman Year: He averaged 7.8 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. He was named RMAC West Division Freshman of the Year.
- Sophomore Year: DeAndre became a starter. His averages went up to 16 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. He was named RMAC West Division Defensive Player of the Year. He also made the All-RMAC West Division First Team.
- Junior Year: He was named RMAC Preseason Player of the Year. On January 30, 2010, he scored a career-high 35 points. He finished the season averaging 21.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. He received several awards, including All-RMAC First Team.
- Senior Year: DeAndre was named preseason RMAC Player of the Year again. He averaged 15.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. DeAndre Lansdowne is the all-time top scorer for Fort Lewis with 1,861 points!
DeAndre's Professional Journey
After college, DeAndre wanted to play professional basketball. But he didn't get any offers right away. So, he took a break for four years and even worked as a bricklayer.
- Starting in Mexico: In 2015, DeAndre got an offer from Pioneros de Delicias, a team in Mexico.
- Moving to Germany: A YouTube video of his highlights helped him get noticed. He was contacted by Hertener Löwen, a team in Germany's third basketball league (ProB). In his first season in Europe, he scored a career-high 46 points in one game. He also had a game with 20 rebounds! He averaged 22.9 points per game, which was second in the league.
- Hamburg Towers: His great playing led to him signing with Hamburg Towers for the 2016–17 season. This moved him up to Germany's second league (ProA). He averaged 12.3 points and 5 rebounds per game.
- Löwen Braunschweig: On July 21, 2017, DeAndre joined Löwen Braunschweig in the Basketball Bundesliga, Germany's top league. In his second season with them, he averaged 19.3 points per game. His strong performance earned him a spot on the All-BBL Second Team.
- Playing in Italy: On June 27, 2019, DeAndre signed with Italian team Basket Brescia Leonessa. He played 21 games there, averaging 13.3 points. He also played in the 2019–20 EuroCup Basketball, which was his first time playing in an international club competition.
- Captain in France: On June 8, 2020, DeAndre signed with SIG Strasbourg, a French team. They played in the LNB Pro A and the Basketball Champions League. He was the team captain for three years.
- Back to Germany: On June 26, 2023, DeAndre returned to Germany. He signed a contract with the Niners Chemnitz team. With Niners Chemnitz, he became a FIBA Europe Cup champion in 2024!
