DeMuDi (which stands for Debian Multimedia Distribution) was a special type of computer program. It was a Linux distribution, which is like an operating system (OS) similar to Windows or macOS. But DeMuDi was built using another OS called Debian.

What made DeMuDi special was that it was designed to be really good for creating music, sounds, and videos. It had many tools and features that helped people make their own multimedia projects.

DeMuDi was created by a group called the AGNULA Project. This project received money from the European Union to help make it easier for everyone to use software for music, sound, and video. Sometimes, DeMuDi was even called A/DeMuDi, with the "A" standing for Agnula.

After the money for the project stopped, some volunteers tried to keep working on DeMuDi for a little while. However, DeMuDi is no longer actively developed on its own. Instead, its ideas and work became part of the Debian Multimedia Project. This means that the goal of making Debian better for multimedia continues today.
