Delacour is a small community called a hamlet in southern Alberta, Canada. It is managed by Rocky View County. You can find Delacour about 10 kilometers (6 miles) east of the big city of Calgary. It's also about 24 kilometers (15 miles) from downtown Calgary. This little place is known for its pretty creek valley and a golf club.

History of Delacour
The Delacour train station was named after the foreman of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway construction team. This railway line later became part of the Canadian National Railway in 1914. People once thought the name Delacour was French, meaning "of the heart." However, it was later found that Mr. Delacour was actually from Denmark.
The very first passenger train passed through Delacour on February 28, 1914. A small store opened in the community that same year. The local post office started helping people send mail on November 15, 1915.
