About Delaney's Early Life
Jessica Delaney Gibson was born in Panama City, Florida. When she was young, her family moved to Ventura, California. This is where she went to school and started her music journey.
At just five years old, Delaney showed her talent for singing. She performed the song "Coat of Many Colors" by Dolly Parton. From age nine, she studied classical music and opera. She learned a lot from her voice coach, Linda Ottsen. Later, she earned a degree in music from California State University, Northridge. This education helped her become the singer she is today.
Delaney loves the quote, "Every wall is a door," by Ralph Waldo Emerson. She once shared that she admires Colonel Sanders. She likes how he kept trying to sell his chicken recipe until someone believed in him.
