Delphos is a small community in Ringgold County, Iowa, in the United States. It used to be a city, but in 2017, the people living there voted to become a "census-designated place" (CDP) instead. This means it's a recognized community by the government for counting people, but it doesn't have its own city government anymore. In 2020, only 26 people lived in Delphos.

History of Delphos
Delphos was started in 1880. It was first called Borneo. The community was located along the Leon, Mount Ayr and Southwestern Railroad. Trains served Delphos until 1945.
Delphos had its own post office from when it started until 1993. It also had stores, a blacksmith shop, and a hotel. However, it never had a bank, which was unusual for a town in Ringgold County. Today, most of the old buildings are gone, but the former church buildings are still standing. In 2017, the people of Delphos decided to stop being an official city. This change was approved in 2018.

In 2020, the census showed that 26 people lived in Delphos. There were 13 households and 9 families. The community had about 116.8 people per square mile (45.1 people per square kilometer). Most of the people living in Delphos were White.
