Delta is a small village in Louisiana, United States. It's located in Madison Parish. In 2020, about 232 people lived there. Delta is part of the Tallulah area.
This village is special because it's the birthplace of Madam C. J. Walker. She was an amazing African-American businesswoman. She became the first American woman to earn a million dollars from her own business. Delta is one of 26 important places on the Louisiana African American Heritage Trail. You can also learn about her at the Hermione Museum in nearby Tallulah.

Where is Delta Located?
Delta is on the eastern edge of Madison Parish in Louisiana. It sits right on a bend in the Mississippi River. This bend is called Delta Point. Across the river from Delta is the city of Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Major roads like Interstate 20 and U.S. Route 80 go through the village. These roads connect Delta to Vicksburg in the east. They also lead west about 16 miles (26 km) to Tallulah, which is the main town of the parish.
Delta covers a total area of about 4.61 square miles (11.93 km²). Most of this area is land, about 4.44 square miles (11.49 km²). The rest, about 0.17 square miles (0.43 km²), is water.
