Denny Domingues Landzaat (born May 6, 1976) is a Dutch former professional footballer. He mainly played as a midfielder. Today, he is an assistant coach for the Indonesia national team.

Playing Career
Starting Out
Denny Landzaat learned to play football in the youth academy of Ajax, a famous Dutch club. He played only one league match for Ajax before moving to other teams. He then had longer playing periods with MVV, Willem II, and AZ. At AZ, he was the team captain during the 2005–06 season, when they finished second in the top Dutch league, the Eredivisie.
Playing in England
On July 18, 2006, Landzaat joined Premier League club Wigan Athletic in England. He signed a three-year contract. He scored his first goal for Wigan against Reading on January 30, 2007. He also scored a great goal from 30 yards away against Arsenal on February 11. Later, he scored his first home goal for Wigan from a penalty kick against Sunderland on August 18, 2007. He also scored in Wigan's big 5–3 win over their local rivals, Blackburn Rovers.
Return to the Netherlands
On January 25, 2008, Landzaat went back to the Netherlands to play for Feyenoord. He signed a three-and-a-half-year contract. He scored his first goal for Feyenoord in his very first game, which was a 3–3 draw against Heracles on February 24, 2008.
After his contract with Feyenoord ended, Landzaat joined Twente in August 2010. He won the KNVB Cup, a major Dutch football cup, with Twente in the 2010–11 season.
Back to Willem II
After his time at Twente, Landzaat returned to Willem II on January 16, 2014. He played there until the end of the season. He helped Willem II get promoted back to the Eredivisie before he retired from professional football.
International Matches
Denny Landzaat also played for the Dutch national team. He was part of the Dutch squad at the 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship. He also played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He scored one goal for the national team in a friendly match against Liechtenstein in 2004.
Coaching Career
After retiring as a player in the summer of 2014, Landzaat started his coaching career. He signed a contract with AZ Alkmaar to be an individual coach for their first team and for Jong AZ, which is their reserve team. A year later, he also became an assistant manager for Jong AZ.
In January 2016, he became the manager of AZ's Under-15 team. He also continued his coaching roles for Jong AZ and the first team. In the summer of 2016, he took charge of the club's Under-17 squad. He also worked as an advisor for the Netherlands national football team under coach Danny Blind. In the summer of 2017, he became an assistant manager for Jong AZ again.
In the 2018–19 season, Landzaat was an assistant coach for Feyenoord under Giovanni van Bronckhorst. He later became an assistant manager for Henk ten Cate at the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.
On June 19, 2022, he was announced as an assistant manager for Lech Poznań, a Polish club. He left the club in December 2023.
As of January 8, 2025, Landzaat is an assistant coach for the Indonesia national team under Patrick Kluivert.
Personal Life
Denny Landzaat was born and grew up in Amsterdam, Netherlands. His mother is from the Moluccan Islands, which means he has Indonesian heritage.
