Deno Michael Mebrahtu, born on September 23, 2002, is a talented singer, songwriter, rapper, and actor from London, England. He is better known by his stage name, Deno. His family comes from Eritrea, and he grew up in South London. Deno became very popular in the London music scene around 2018. He gained fame with many music videos and hit songs that quickly spread online.

Deno's Music Journey
Starting Out (2016–2017)
Deno went to Evelyn Grace Academy in Brixton, London. His music journey began in 2016 when a friend asked him to sing on Snapchat. This video was shared on Instagram and quickly became popular.
Soon, famous rapper Stormzy noticed Deno's videos. Stormzy shared one of them and invited Deno to his studio. Deno even appeared on Stormzy's album, Gang Signs & Prayer.
In 2016, Deno met rapper AJ. They started working together, and Deno sang on AJ's song "Know Me." The music video for this song got over 2.5 million views on YouTube. Deno and AJ, often called AJ x Deno, made more songs and started performing live. They even opened a show for the group Migos at IndigO2.
Deno and AJ signed with Sony Columbia UK in 2017. They released several songs, but their big break came in 2018 with the hit song "London." This song featured EO. The video for "London" was watched over 45 million times and reached number 45 on the UK Singles Chart.
Becoming Famous (2018–2021)
Deno met rapper Cadet while working on the short film Shiro's Story Part 3 in 2018. Their song together, "Advice," became a huge hit. It got over 30 million views on YouTube. The song reached number 14 on the UK Singles Chart and sold over 500,000 copies, earning a Gold Award.
Deno continued to release popular songs. He was featured on "Pumpy" by Da Beatfreakz, which also included AJ, Swarmz, and Cadet. In 2019, Deno released "First Days," a special song to remember Cadet, who had passed away earlier that year.
In September 2019, Deno released the song "Change," featuring DigDat. The music video was directed by Darnell Depradine.
Deno also worked with the fashion brand BoohooMAN. They launched a clothing collection together in September 2019.
In 2018, Deno appeared as a singing boy in Idris Elba's TV show In the Long Run.
Later in 2019, Deno released an EP called Eye 2 Eye. This EP featured other artists like Krept, Jay1, and DigDat.
In 2021, Deno released his mixtape "Boy Meets World." It included collaborations with many artists such as J.I the Prince of N.Y, Chunkz, Unknown T, Cadet, Craig David, DDG, Jade Silva, and Bandokay and Double Lz from the rap group OFB. The mixtape reached number 31 on the UK Albums Chart.
