Deno Michael Mebrahtu (born on September 23, 2002), known as Deno, is a British-Eritrean singer, songwriter, rapper, and actor. He grew up in South London. His parents are from Eritrea. Deno became well-known in the London music scene around 2018. This happened because of his popular music videos and hit songs.

Deno's Music Journey
How Deno Started (2016–2017)
Deno went to Evelyn Grace Academy in Brixton, London. In 2016, a friend asked him to sing on Snapchat after school. This video was shared on Instagram and became very popular. Many people started following him online.
Famous rapper Stormzy saw Deno's videos. Stormzy shared one of them and then contacted Deno. He invited Deno to the studio to sing on his album Gang Signs & Prayer.
In 2016, Deno met rapper AJ. They started working together. Deno sang the chorus on AJ's song "Know Me." The video for this song got over 2.5 million views on YouTube. Deno and AJ, often called AJ x Deno, made more songs together that year. They also started performing live, even opening for the group Migos.
Deno and AJ signed with Sony Columbia UK in 2017. They released several songs. However, they became truly famous in 2018 with their hit song "London." This song featured another artist named EO. The music video for "London" was watched over 45 million times. It also reached number 45 on the UK Singles Chart.
Becoming Famous (2018–2021)
Deno met rapper Cadet while filming Shiro's Story Part 3 in 2018. Their song together, "Advice", became a huge hit. It had over 30 million views on YouTube. The song reached number 14 on the UK Singles Chart. It sold over 500,000 copies and earned a Brit certified Gold Award.
Deno continued to release more songs. He was featured on the popular song "Pumpy" by Da Beatfreakz. This song also included AJ, Swarmz, and Cadet. In 2019, Deno released "First Days". This song was a special tribute to Cadet, who had passed away earlier that year.
In September 2019, Deno released the song "Change." It featured rapper DigDat. The music video was directed by Darnell Depradine.
Deno also worked with the fashion brand BoohooMAN. They launched a clothing collection together in September 2019.
Deno appeared as a singing boy in the TV series In the Long Run in 2018. This show was created by Idris Elba.
In late 2019, Deno released an EP called Eye 2 Eye. An EP is like a mini-album. It featured other artists like Krept, Jay1, and DigDat.
In 2021, Deno released a mixtape called "Boy Meets World." A mixtape is a collection of songs. This mixtape featured many artists. Some of them were J.I the Prince of N.Y, Chunkz, Unknown T, Cadet, Craig David, DDG, Jade Silva, Bandokay, and Double Lz. The mixtape reached number 31 on the UK Albums Chart.
