Deseret (pronounced like dez-uh-RET) is a small community in Millard County, Utah, United States. It's called a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's a special area defined by the government for counting people. In 2010, about 353 people lived there. Deseret is located about 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Delta. It is also about 150 miles (240 km) southwest of Salt Lake City, Utah's capital. The name Deseret comes from the Book of Mormon.

Deseret has a cold semi-arid climate. This means it gets hot summers and cold winters. It does not receive a lot of rain or snow. The weather can be quite extreme, with very hot days in summer and very cold days in winter.

A small number of people were American Indian or Alaska Native (1.4%). Some were Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander (0.3%).
