Devin Clark (born April 12, 1990) is an American professional MMA fighter. He used to compete in the Light Heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which is a very famous fighting league. Devin started fighting professionally in 2013. He joined the UFC after Dana White, the UFC president, saw him fight on a TV show called "Dana White: Looking for a Fight".

About Devin Clark
Devin Clark was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1990. He started boxing as a child and began wrestling when he was seven years old. He continued wrestling throughout high school.
High School and College Wrestling
In high school, Devin became very good at wrestling. In his senior year, he won the South Dakota State Championship in his weight class. After high school, he went to Rochester Community and Technical College. There, he became a two-time NJCAA All-American in wrestling. This means he was one of the best college wrestlers in the country. He even won a National Championship in 2009.
Starting MMA Training
Even though he left college, Devin still wanted to compete. So, he started training in MMA at a local gym called Team Nak Suk. Later, he moved to Next Edge Academy, where he trained with Bruce Hoyer. Devin quickly improved and started fighting in professional MMA events.
Devin Clark's MMA Career
Devin Clark began his professional MMA career on August 24, 2013. His first fight was in an event called Knockout Events: Battle at the Chip. He won his first fight by TKO (Technical Knockout) in the first round.
Early Fights
After his first win, Devin joined the Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) in 2014. He won his first fight there by TKO. In 2015, he won another fight by submission, using a move called a rear-naked choke. He continued to win fights in the RFA, often by unanimous decision, which means all the judges agreed he won.
Joining the UFC
On April 15, 2016, something big happened. Dana White, the president of the UFC, was watching Devin fight at an RFA event. Devin was fighting for the Light Heavyweight Championship. His opponent got a broken hand, so Devin won the fight and became the new champion. Dana White was very impressed with Devin's skills and his perfect record of 6 wins and 0 losses. Because of this, Devin was signed to fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Fighting in the UFC
Devin Clark made his UFC debut on July 13, 2016. He fought Alex Nicholson in a middleweight fight, but he lost this fight.
Moving to Light Heavyweight
After his first UFC fight, Devin moved back to the light heavyweight division. He fought Josh Stansbury on December 3, 2016, and won by unanimous decision. He then won another fight against Jake Collier in April 2017.
Later UFC Fights
Devin faced Jan Błachowicz in October 2017 and lost by submission. In April 2018, he won against Mike Rodríguez by unanimous decision. He then lost to Aleksandar Rakić in December 2018.
In 2019, a fight against Abdul-Kerim Edilov was canceled. Devin then fought Darko Stošić in June 2019 and won by unanimous decision. He lost his next fight to Ryan Spann in October 2019.
In 2020, Devin won two fights by unanimous decision: one against Dequan Townsend in February and another against Alonzo Menifield in June. In November 2020, he fought Anthony Smith and lost by submission.
Devin was supposed to fight Ion Cuțelaba in May 2021 but had to pull out due to an injury. They eventually fought in September 2021, and Devin lost by unanimous decision.
Recent Fights
In April 2022, Devin fought William Knight and won by TKO. This was his first fight in the heavyweight division. In August 2022, he lost to Azamat Murzakanov.
Devin won against Da Un Jung in February 2023 by unanimous decision. His next fight was against Kennedy Nzechukwu in May 2023, which he lost. His last fight in the UFC was against Marcin Prachnio in February 2024, which he lost by unanimous decision.
Soon after, in February 2024, it was announced that Devin Clark was no longer part of the UFC roster.

Personal Life
When Devin Clark was in high school, his friends gave him the nickname "Brown Bear." They called him this because he was a strong wrestler like a bear, but also kind and thoughtful in his everyday life.
Devin is very active in helping different non-profit groups in his community. He especially helps people who have Down syndrome. He was even chosen to be on the National Board of Garrett's Fight, an organization that supports people with Down syndrome.
Devin and his wife have a daughter.
