Devin Robinson's Early Basketball Career

High School Achievements

Devin Robinson was a standout player in high school. In the 2013–14 season, he played for Christchurch School. He was named the Virginia Prep League Player of the Year. During that season, he averaged 24 points and 10 rebounds per game. He also had three blocked shots and two assists per game. His team finished as runner-up in the state championship.

College Years at Florida

After high school, Devin was highly sought after by college teams. He chose to play for the University of Florida. This was under the guidance of coach Billy Donovan. He picked Florida over other big schools like Connecticut and Indiana.

Even though Coach Donovan left for the NBA before Devin's second year, Devin decided to stay at Florida. His college coach, Michael White, praised his skills. In 2017, Coach White said Devin was very talented. He mentioned Devin's speed and quick jump shot. He believed Devin could be a strong player on both offense and defense.

In his last college season (2016–17), Devin averaged 11.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. After this successful year, he decided to end his college career early. He chose to enter the 2017 NBA draft to become a professional player.

Starting with the Washington Wizards (2017–2019)

Devin Robinson was not chosen in the 2017 NBA draft. However, he still got a chance to play. He joined the Washington Wizards for the 2017 NBA Summer League. Because of his good performance there, the Wizards signed him.

On July 14, 2017, he signed a special "two-way contract." This meant he could play for both the Wizards and their minor league team. He spent time with the Delaware 87ers and later the Westchester Knicks in the NBA G League.

In the 2018 NBA Summer League, Devin again played well for the Wizards. He led the team in scoring, averaging over 19 points per game. Later, in April 2019, Devin was involved in an incident outside a nightclub. After this, the Wizards decided not to extend his contract. He then joined the Portland Trail Blazers for the 2019 Las Vegas Summer League.
