Devon Joel Werkheiser (born March 8, 1991) is an American actor and musician. He is best known for playing Ned Bigby in the Nickelodeon TV show Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. He also starred as Nolan Byrd in the 2007 Nickelodeon movie Shredderman Rules. Devon also had a role as Peter Parkes in the TV series Greek.

Early Life and Acting Start

Devon Werkheiser was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up in a nearby town called Johns Creek. His parents helped him start acting by enrolling him in acting classes.

After getting a small part in the movie We Were Soldiers, Devon and his mom moved to Los Angeles. This helped him follow his dream of acting.

Devon's Acting Career

Devon quickly found many roles in TV and movies. His biggest role was playing Ned Bigby on Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. He started this role in 2003. He also used his voice for characters like Casper the Friendly Ghost in Casper's Scare School.

In 2007, Devon starred in the Nickelodeon movie Shredderman Rules. He played Nolan Byrd, who secretly becomes a hero named Shredderman. That same year, he was in the movie Christmas in Paradise. Later, in 2009, he played Victor in The First Time and Brad Burris in The Prankster.

Devon continued acting in different types of movies. In 2011, he was in the thriller Beneath the Darkness. In 2013, he starred in the horror film The Wicked. He also appeared in movies like California Scheming and Helicopter Mom in 2014.

In 2016, Devon played Jason in the TV movie Bad Sister. He also hosted a dance competition show called Dance-Off Juniors. He appeared in the romantic comedy Sundown and was a guest star on 2 Broke Girls. In 2017, he was in the comedy film Where's the Money.

More recently, in 2018, Devon had roles in Break Night and To The Beat!. In 2019, he played Charlie in the web series Rough Draft. He also appeared in the crime film Crown Vic and the romantic comedy Santa Girl. In 2021, Devon was part of the cast for the film Rust. Production on the film was paused and later continued in 2023.

Podcasts by Devon

In January 2023, Devon started his own podcast called Growing Up with Devon Werkheiser.

In February 2023, he launched another podcast called Ned's Declassified Podcast Survival Guide. He hosts this show with his former co-stars Lindsey Shaw and Daniel Curtis Lee. They rewatch and talk about episodes of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide.

Devon Werkheiser is also a musician. He used to be signed with Universal Motown. He has performed live shows with other singers.

His first song, "If Eyes Could Speak", came out on April 1, 2010. The music video for it was released in June 2010. His second song, "Sparks Will Fly", was released in July 2010.

He has released several music collections called EPs. His first EP, I Am, came out in 2013. His second, Here and Now, was released in 2015. In 2016, he released singles like "Stuck On the Ground" and "Fire". His third EP, Chapter One, was released in April 2020.

In 2023, Devon started a new music project called Good/Vlly. This project has a more electronic sound. His first EP under Good/Vlly, called Brief Romance, was released in October 2023.
