Dhamtore (pronounced Dham-tore) is a large and important village in Pakistan. It is located about 6 kilometers (about 4 miles) east of Abbottabad city. This area is part of the Hazara region in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Dhamtore is known as the biggest village and union council in Abbottabad District. A union council is like a local government area. The main language spoken here is Hindko, which is common in the Hazara Division. However, in some villages, like Nagakki, people also speak Gojri.
This village is often called the "gateway" to many beautiful places. These include popular spots like Murree, Nathiagali, Ayubia National Park, and the famous picnic area of Harnoi.

Where is Dhamtore Located?
Dhamtore is found in the Abbottabad District of Pakistan. It sits at an average height of about 1,110 meters (3,645 feet) above sea level. This village is to the west of Abbottabad city. It shares its borders with Sheikh-ul-Bandi to the north and Nagri Bala to the south.
History of Dhamtore
Dhamtore is a very old place with a long history. Even before the British rule in India, Dhamtore was a busy center. It had markets and was an important place for trade and business for all the areas around it.
Important Historical Figures
Dhamtore is home to the resting places of several respected historical figures. One such person was Shaykh or Kagir Khan Baba. He lived from 1545 to 1655 and was known for his work in spreading the message of Islam.
Another important figure was Baba Mola Patt Sarkar. He traveled from Jalalabad, Afghanistan, with his followers. They came to areas like Gadoon, Swabi, and the Hazara region to share their knowledge and beliefs.
Popular Sports and Games
Football is the most popular sport in Dhamtore. Many young people enjoy playing it. There are several local football clubs in the village, such as Hazara Sarban FC and Pak Muhammadan FC.

Annual Festival
Dhamtore hosts a special annual festival called the Urs Mubarak of Saian Mola Patt Qalandar. He was a very famous and respected person from the area. This festival is celebrated for one week every year, from February 18 to February 25. It is a time for people to gather and remember his life and teachings.
Main Tribes and Communities
Most of the people living in Dhamtore belong to the Jadoon or Sulamani Pathan tribe. However, many other communities also live here. These include the Syeds, Gujjars, Qazis, Awans, Mughals, Karlal, Kashmiris, Ghakkars, and Abbasis. This mix of tribes makes Dhamtore a diverse and interesting place.
