Dichen Lachman (pronounced DEE-chən LAK-mən; born 22 February 1982) is an Australian actress and model. She is known for playing many exciting roles in popular TV shows and movies.

You might know her as Katya Kinski in the Australian TV drama Neighbours or as Sierra in the science fiction series Dollhouse. She has also played the powerful Jiaying in the superhero show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the mysterious wellness counselor Ms. Casey in the thriller series Severance.

Lachman has appeared in big movies like Jurassic World Dominion, where she played the villain Soyona Santos. She also had a role in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

Early Life and Education

Dichen Lachman was born in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. In the early 1990s, she and her family moved to Adelaide, a city in Australia. Her father is Australian, and her mother is Tibetan.

She went to several schools in Australia, including Norwood Morialta High School and the University of Adelaide. After finishing her role on the TV show Neighbours in 2007, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.

Acting Career

Lachman's career began with a TV commercial in Australia. In 2005, she landed her first major role as Katya Kinski in the popular TV show Neighbours. She originally tried out for a different character, but the producers were so impressed that they created the part of Katya just for her.

Moving to Hollywood

After Neighbours, Lachman moved to the United States to find new roles. In 2008, she was cast as Sierra in the science fiction series Dollhouse, created by Joss Whedon. This role helped her become well-known to American audiences.

She later appeared in many other popular TV shows. She had guest roles on NCIS: Los Angeles and Hawaii Five-0. She also joined the cast of the supernatural show Being Human and the military drama Last Resort.

Between 2010 and 2013, Lachman and her friend Anton King worked together to make the movie Lust for Love. They raised over $100,000 online through the website Kickstarter to help fund the project. This showed her dedication to creating her own work.

Lachman married American actor Maximilian Osinski in January 2015. They have a daughter, who was born in May 2015.
