Diego de Riaño (died 1534) was a famous Spanish architect during the Renaissance period. He was known for his amazing work in the Plateresque style, which was a very detailed and decorative way of building.
Diego de Riaño was born in a place called Riaño in Cantabria, Spain. We know he was working in Seville starting in 1523. In 1527, he began working on the Collegiate Church of Valladolid. Later, he became the main architect for the huge Cathedral of Seville until he passed away in 1534. He also did some work at the University of Osuna.

- The Casa consistorial (Town Hall) in Seville. This is a very important building in the city.
- The Sacristía de los Cálices (Sacristy of the Chalices), also in Seville. A sacristy is a room in a church where sacred items are kept.
- Four chapels in the choir area of the Cathedral of Seville. Chapels are smaller places for worship inside a larger church.
- He made plans for the Cathedral of Valladolid, though these specific plans were not built.
- He also worked on the refectory (dining hall) of the Jerez Charterhouse in 1533. A charterhouse is a type of monastery.
