Dimosthenis "Dimos" Dikoudis (born June 24, 1977) is a former professional basketball player from Greece. He was a tall player, standing 2.08 meters (6 feet 10 inches) tall. Dimos played as a power forward and center. After his playing career, he became a basketball executive. In 2022, he was honored by being added to the Greek Basket League Hall of Fame.

Early Life and Sports Beginnings
Dimos Dikoudis started playing football when he was 10 years old. Later, he tried Taekwondo, a type of martial art. After two years, he switched to playing basketball for his school team. His school team won the city championship, which was Dimos's first ever title!
After this win, he joined his first basketball club, Perseas in Larissa. He played there until he was 18. During his time with Perseas, he helped his team win four city and state championships. He also won a national title with the club and was chosen for the all-state team.
Playing Career Highlights
Starting Professional Basketball
In 1995, Dimos Dikoudis signed his first professional contract with Olympia Larissa. He played there for three seasons. He was a top player in the Greek 2nd Division, leading in scoring and rebounds for two seasons. He was even named the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the Greek 2nd Division in his last season there. At this time, he also played for the Greek Under-21 national team.
Success with AEK Athens
In 1998, Dimos joined AEK Athens, a top team in the Greek League. He played with them for five seasons. With AEK, he won several important titles:
- The FIBA Saporta Cup
- The Greek League championship
- Two Greek Cups
He was also recognized for his great play, being named the Greek League Best Young Player in 2000 and the Greek League MVP in 2002.
Playing Abroad
In 2003, Dimos decided to play basketball outside of Greece. He joined Valencia in Spain for a year. After that, he moved to CSKA Moscow in Russia. With CSKA, he won the Russian Championship and the Russian Cup. He also played in the EuroLeague Final Four with CSKA.
He returned to Valencia in 2005 and played in the finals of the Spanish Cup.
Returning to Greece and Winning the Triple Crown
In 2006, Dimos came back to Greece and joined Panathinaikos. This was a very successful time for him! In the 2006–07 season, he helped Panathinaikos win the Triple Crown. This means they won three major titles in one season: the EuroLeague, the Greek League, and the Greek Cup.
Later in his career, he also played for Panionios, Aris Thessaloniki, and returned to AEK Athens. His last team was PAOK in 2011.
Playing for Greece's National Team
Dimos Dikoudis was a key player for the senior Greece national team. He first played for the national team in 1999. He represented Greece in major tournaments like:
- The 2004 Summer Olympics
- The 2001 EuroBasket and 2003 EuroBasket
- The 2005 EuroBasket, where he won a gold medal with the Greek team!
- The 2006 FIBA World Championship, where he won a silver medal.
Life After Playing: Managerial Career
After retiring from playing, Dimos Dikoudis continued to be involved in basketball.
- From 2006 to 2010, he was the President of the Panhellenic Association of Paid Basketball Players.
- In 2013, he became the Sports Director for the Greek League club AEK.
- In 2021, he took on the role of Administrative Manager for the senior Greece national team.
