Division (military) facts for kids

Who Leads a Division?

What Are Divisions Made Of?

Divisions are organized into smaller units. Think of it like building blocks:

• Brigades: A division usually has two to four brigades. A brigade is made up of several battalions.
• Battalions: Battalions are smaller units, often focused on one type of fighting, like infantry or tanks.
• Companies: Battalions are divided into companies.
• Platoons and Squads: These are the smallest groups of soldiers.
