Dmitri Leonidovich Radchenko (Дмитрий Леонидович Радченко; born 2 December 1970) is a Russian football coach and a former player. He played as a powerful striker, which means he was great at scoring goals! Dmitri played for many different teams in four countries during his career, including Spain's top league, La Liga.

Dmitri Radchenko's Football Journey

Starting in Russia

Dmitri began his professional football adventure in his hometown, Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg). In 1991, he moved to FC Spartak Moscow, one of Russia's biggest clubs. He helped Spartak win the first two titles of the Russian Premier League.

One of his most exciting moments was in the 1990–91 European Cup (now known as the UEFA Champions League). Spartak Moscow played against the famous Real Madrid. Dmitri was a key player, scoring two goals in a fantastic 3–1 away win. This helped his team knock Real Madrid out of the competition!

Playing in Spain

In 1993, Dmitri moved to Spain to play for Racing Santander. He joined his teammate Dmitri Popov there. These were some of the best years of his career. In his second season, he even scored a goal in a huge 5–0 win against FC Barcelona!

After Racing Santander, Dmitri moved to Deportivo de La Coruña. He played a lot, but it was harder for him to score as many goals. He also played for other Spanish teams like Rayo Vallecano, CP Mérida, and SD Compostela.

Later Career and International Play

Dmitri also played successfully for Júbilo Iwata in Japan and HNK Hajduk Split in Croatia. He finished his playing career in 2008 in the lower leagues of Spain.

Dmitri also represented his country, Russia, on the international stage. He played in the 1994 FIFA World Cup. In one memorable game, Russia beat Cameroon 6–1, and Dmitri scored one of those goals!
