Dodd City was first started in the year 1839.
Geography of Dodd City
Dodd City is found in the eastern part of Fannin County. A main road, Texas State Highway 56, goes right through the middle of the town. This highway connects Dodd City to other nearby places. If you go east on Highway 56 for about 4.5 miles, you will reach Windom. If you travel west for about 6 miles, you will get to Bonham. Bonham is important because it is the main city for Fannin County.
The United States Census Bureau says that Dodd City covers a total area of about 4.6 square kilometers (which is about 1.77 square miles). All of this area is land.
