Dominguito is a special area called a barrio in the town of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 4,895 people lived there.
A Look at Dominguito's History
After the Spanish–American War, Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States. This happened because of a peace agreement called the Treaty of Paris of 1898. Puerto Rico then became a special area linked to the United States.
In 1899, the United States government counted everyone in Puerto Rico. They found that Dominguito barrio had 1,093 people living there. Over the years, more people moved to Dominguito. By 2010, the population had grown to 4,895.
