Dominic Guard (born 18 June 1956) is an English child psychotherapist and author. He used to be an actor.

Early Life and First Big Role
Dominic Guard was born in London, England, on June 18, 1956. His dad, Philip Guard, was a stage actor, and his mom, Charlotte Mitchell, was an actress and poet. His older brother, Christopher Guard, also became an actor. Dominic's parents separated when he was twelve years old.
When Dominic was just 14, he got a very important role in the 1971 film The Go-Between. He played the main character, Leo Colston. For his amazing performance, he won a BAFTA award in 1971. The film itself won the Palme d'Or, which is the top prize at the Cannes film festival.
Acting Career Highlights
After his success in The Go-Between, Dominic Guard appeared in several other films. These included Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975) and The Count of Monte Cristo (1975). He also acted alongside famous actors like Richard Burton in Absolution (1978) and in the award-winning film Gandhi (1982).
A fun fact for fantasy fans: in 1978, Dominic voiced the character of Pippin in an animated movie of The Lord of the Rings. His brother, Christopher Guard, also voiced a character in the same film, playing Frodo Baggins. Dominic continued acting in films and TV shows until the year 2000.
