Domino is a super popular brand of cookies from Finland. These tasty treats are made by a well-known Finnish food company called Fazer. Domino cookies are special because they have three layers. The top and bottom parts are dark, cocoa-flavored biscuits. In the middle, you'll find a soft, creamy vanilla filling. It's a delicious combination!

Different Kinds of Domino Cookies

Did you know there are many different kinds of Domino cookies? Besides the classic vanilla, you can find other exciting flavors. Some popular ones include Domino Mint, Domino Choco, and Domino Double Chocolate. There are also Mini Domino cookies, which are smaller versions. Another fun flavor is Domino Marianne, which has a cool peppermint taste.

The History of Domino Cookies

The Fazer company first started making Domino cookies way back in 1953. But before Domino, there were other similar cookies in America. For example, a cookie called Hydrox came out in 1908. Then, the famous Oreo cookie was launched in 1912.

For a while, between 1995 and 2016, the Domino brand changed hands a few times. Different big food companies owned it, like United Biscuits and Kraft Foods. But in 2016, Fazer got their beloved Domino brand back! They also took back their cookie factories in Finland. This meant Domino cookies were back home with Fazer.

Awards and Other Treats

Domino cookies are really loved in Finland. They have even won awards! Magazines like Taloustutkimus and Markkinointi & Mainonta have called Domino Finland's most valued cookie brand. That's a big honor!

If you love Domino cookies, you might also like Domino-flavored ice cream. Fazer launched this special ice cream in 2006. It lets you enjoy the classic Domino taste in a cool, frozen treat.
