Donald Durand Parham Jr. is an American professional football player. He plays as a tight end for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on August 16, 1997. Before joining the NFL, he played college football for the Stetson Hatters. He first signed with the Detroit Lions in 2019.

Early Life and College Football

Growing Up in Florida

Donald Parham Jr. grew up in Lakeland, Florida. When he was younger, he was very good at basketball. He played basketball at Lake Gibson High School. Even though his father and four uncles played college football, Donald didn't start playing football until his last year of high school.

College Success at Stetson

When he started playing football, he was a wide receiver and defensive end. He decided to play college football at Stetson University. In his first year, he didn't play much. But in his second year, he became a tight end and played in 11 games. He caught 37 passes for 455 yards and scored six touchdowns.

As a junior, Parham was the best pass-catcher for Stetson. He caught 58 passes for 817 yards. In his senior year, he had an amazing season. He caught 85 passes for 1,319 yards and scored 13 touchdowns. Because of his great performance, he was named a First-Team All-American.

Donald Parham Jr. finished his college career as Stetson's all-time leading receiver. He had 180 catches for 2,591 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Professional Football Journey

Starting in the NFL

Donald Parham Jr. was not chosen in the 2019 NFL Draft. However, he signed with the Detroit Lions on May 10, 2019. He was with the team for a short time before being released.

He then signed with the Washington Redskins on June 7, 2019. He joined their practice squad later that year but was released again.

Playing in the XFL

In 2020, Parham was picked by the Arlington Renegades in the XFL Draft. In his second game, he made five catches for 76 yards and scored a touchdown. The XFL league stopped playing games on April 10, 2020, which ended his time there.

Time with the Los Angeles Chargers

Parham signed with the Los Angeles Chargers on April 14, 2020. In his first game with the Chargers, he caught his first NFL pass. It was a 19-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Justin Herbert.

In 2021, during a game, Parham had an injury while trying to catch a pass. He was taken to the hospital for a head injury and was in stable condition. He recovered and was able to play again. He signed a new contract with the Chargers in March 2023. He was released by the Chargers in August 2024.

Moving to New Teams

After leaving the Chargers, Parham joined the Denver Broncos practice squad on August 28, 2024.

On February 21, 2025, Donald Parham Jr. signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, in June 2025, he had an injury to his Achilles tendon during team practices. This injury meant he would not be able to play during the 2025 season.
