Donald Douglas Scott (born February 23, 1992) is an American track and field athlete. He is best known for competing in the triple jump, which is a sport where athletes try to jump as far as possible in three steps: a hop, a skip, and a jump.
Donald Scott won a bronze medal in the triple jump at the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships. He has also won several championships in the United States. He is a three-time U.S. Indoor Triple Jump Champion (2017, 2019, 2020) and a U.S. Outdoor Champion (2018, 2019). His best jump ever, with a little help from the wind, was 17.74 meters (about 58 feet, 2 inches) in 2019.

High School Years
Donald Scott went to Apopka High School in Apopka, Florida. He graduated in 2010. During high school, he was a great wide receiver in football. This is where he first started getting involved in track and field sports.
Professional Career Highlights
Donald Scott became a professional athlete in 2015. In his first year, he placed well in national championships.
In 2017, he earned a spot on Team USA for the World Championships in London. He finished 13th in the triple jump at that event.
In 2018, he won a silver medal at the 2018 Athletics World Cup. He also earned a bronze medal at the 2018 IAAF Diamond League Final.
One of his biggest achievements was winning a bronze medal at the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. He jumped 17.21 meters (about 56 feet, 5 inches) to earn his medal.
Donald Scott has also competed in the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, in 2021. He finished 7th in the triple jump there. He also placed 6th at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar, in 2019.
He has won many U.S. national titles:

- 2018: 1st place at the USA Outdoor Championships

College Coaching
Donald Scott also spent time as a volunteer coach at Eastern Michigan University until 2019. He helped guide other young athletes in their track and field journeys.
College Athletics
Before turning professional, Donald Scott attended Eastern Michigan University (EMU). He studied criminal justice there.
While at EMU, he became a very successful track and field athlete. He set many school records. He won nine titles in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). He also earned two NCAA Division 1 All-American honors.
He set the MAC and school record for the triple jump. In his senior year, he finished 3rd in the triple jump at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Championships. He also placed 2nd at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championships.
