Donnell Eugene Harvey, born on August 26, 1980, is a former professional basketball player from the United States. He played for several teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA), including the New Jersey Nets, Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic, and Phoenix Suns.

High School Basketball Star
Donnell Harvey grew up in Shellman, Georgia. He went to Randolph-Clay High School in Cuthbert, Georgia. He was considered the best high school player in the country in 1999.
Top High School Honors
In 1999, Donnell received many awards for his amazing skills.
- He played in the McDonald's All-American Game.
- He was part of the USA Today All-USA 1st Team.
- He won the Naismith Award, which is given to the nation's top high school player.
College Days at Florida
Donnell Harvey earned a sports scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He played for coach Billy Donovan's Florida Gators men's basketball team during the 1999–2000 season.
A Short College Stay
Donnell started many games for the Gators at first. However, he later lost his starting spot. This happened after he went home for the New Year's break because he missed his family. In his only season playing college basketball, Donnell averaged 10.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. He was also chosen for the SEC All-Freshman Team.
Professional Basketball Journey
Donnell Harvey was chosen by the New York Knicks as the 22nd pick in the 2000 NBA draft. He was then traded to the Dallas Mavericks. He played for the Mavericks until February 2002.
Moving Between NBA Teams
After Dallas, Donnell was traded to the Denver Nuggets. In September 2003, he joined the Orlando Magic. Later that year, in December 2003, he was traded to the Phoenix Suns. He also briefly joined the New Jersey Nets in February 2005. His last NBA game was on February 13, 2005. He played for 2 minutes and got 1 rebound in that game.
Playing Around the World
After his time in the NBA, Donnell played basketball in many different countries.
- From 2005 to 2006, he played for Panionios in Greece.
- In 2006–2007, he played for Beşiktaş in Turkey.
- In 2007, he played for Rieti in Italy.
- He also played for Banvitspor in Turkey and the Carolina Giants in Puerto Rico in 2009.
- In November 2010, Donnell signed with the Bosnian club KK Igokea.
Success in China
Donnell Harvey played for the Jiangsu Dragons in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) for two seasons. He also played for Tianjin Ronggang for the 2011–2012 season. During that season, he averaged an impressive 24.7 points and 14.7 rebounds per game. He was the CBA rebounding leader in 2013 and the CBA Slam Dunk leader in 2009.
Return to the Philippines
In 2012, Donnell joined the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters in the Philippines. He helped his team reach the finals, but they lost in a close series. He returned to Tianjin Ronggang later that year. In 2013, he rejoined the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters. However, he left the team during the season to be with his children in the United States after they were in a car accident.
