Donnell Eugene Harvey (born August 26, 1980) is an American retired professional basketball player. He played for several teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA). These teams included the New Jersey Nets, Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic, and Phoenix Suns. He also played for many teams in other countries around the world.

High School Basketball Career
Donnell Harvey was born in Shellman, Georgia. He went to Randolph-Clay High School in Cuthbert, Georgia. In 1999, he was named the best high school basketball player in the country.
He received many honors during his high school years. He played in the McDonald's All-American Game in 1999. He was also part of the USA Today All-USA 1st Team in 1999. In the same year, he won the Naismith Award. This award is given to the top high school player in the nation.
College Basketball Career
After high school, Harvey went to the University of Florida. He played for the Florida Gators men's basketball team. This was during the 1999–2000 season.
He played well in his first year of college. He averaged 10.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. He was also chosen for the SEC All-Freshman Team. Donnell Harvey played only one season of college basketball.
Professional Basketball Career
Donnell Harvey was picked by the New York Knicks in the 2000 NBA draft. He was the 22nd player chosen overall. Soon after, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks.
Playing in the NBA
Harvey played for the Mavericks until February 2002. Then, he was traded to the Denver Nuggets. In September 2003, he joined the Orlando Magic. However, he was traded again in December 2003 to the Phoenix Suns.
In October 2004, he briefly signed with the Atlanta Hawks. He later played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce. This team was part of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). In February 2005, he joined the New Jersey Nets. He played only three games for them before being waived.
His last NBA game was on February 13, 2005. It was a game where the Nets won against the Denver Nuggets. Donnell Harvey played for two minutes in that game. He recorded one rebound.
Playing Around the World
After his time in the NBA, Donnell Harvey played basketball in many different countries. From September 2005 to March 2006, he played for Panionios in Greece. He then moved to Turkey to play for Beşiktaş in 2006–07. He also played in Italy for Rieti in July 2007.
He continued his international career with Banvitspor in Turkey. In 2009, he played for the Carolina Giants in Puerto Rico. In November 2010, he signed with KK Igokea in Bosnia.
Harvey also played in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He played for the Jiangsu Dragons in the 2008–09 and 2009–10 seasons. Later, he played for Tianjin Ronggang for the 2011–12 season. During this time, he averaged 24.7 points and 14.7 rebounds per game. He was the CBA rebounding leader in 2013 and the CBA Slam Dunk leader in 2009.
In 2012, he joined the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters in the Philippines. He helped his team reach the finals. He returned to Tianjin Ronggang later that year. In 2013, he rejoined the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters. He left the team during the season to be with his children.
