Dorabase (ドラベース, Dorabesu), also known as Doraemon Super Baseball Gaiden (ドラえもん超野球 (スーパーベースボール)外伝), is a fun baseball manga series. It's a spin-off from the famous Doraemon series, created by Shintaro Mugiwara. This manga started in 2000 and focuses on baseball adventures.

Unlike The Doraemons, which is very close to the main Doraemon story, Dorabase tells its own unique tales. The original series has 23 volumes, and a newer version has 4 volumes. The story follows a baseball team called the Edogawa Doras. Their captain is a cool cat robot named Kuroemon. The series shares many exciting moments, both happy and sad, making it a great read.

Dorabase is published in Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic magazine in Japan. It's also popular in other countries. You can find it in Indonesia (published by Elex Media Komputindo), Malaysia (by Tora Aman), Thailand (by Nations group), and Vietnam (by Kim Dong Publishing House).

The Story of Dorabase

Dorabase takes place in Tokyo in the 22nd century. Imagine a future where baseball is still super popular! The main character is Kuroemon. He is a cat robot, just like Doraemon. Kuroemon is not only a player but also the captain and manager of his baseball team. His team is called the Edogawa Doras.

The manga follows the Edogawa Doras as they play many baseball games. They face lots of different teams and challenges. At first, the Edogawa Doras aren't very good. They can't even win a single game! But through hard work and teamwork, they get better and better. They grow from a struggling team into a world-class amateur baseball team.

The rules of baseball in the 22nd century are mostly the same as today. However, there's one special rule that makes the game extra exciting. Each team can use three secret gadgets from the main Doraemon series during a game. These gadgets add a lot of fun and surprises to the matches!
