Dorchester Shores Reservation is a cool state park in Massachusetts. It's made up of three separate areas that together cover about 44 acres. These areas are located along the eastern side of the Dorchester part of Boston. You'll find beaches and a park here, right where the Neponset River meets the ocean. The three main spots are Savin Hill/Malibu Beach, Tenean Beach, and Victory Road Park. The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation takes care of this whole area.

Malibu Beach

At Malibu Beach, you can go swimming and use the bathhouse to change.

Savin Hill Beach

Savin Hill Beach is great for swimming. It also has sports fields and a playground for younger kids. This beach was even designed by the famous Olmsted Brothers landscape architects!

Tenean Beach

Tenean Beach is another good spot for swimming. It has a playground, plus courts for tennis and basketball.

Victory Road Park

Victory Road Park is a quiet place to relax. It was built on an old landfill, but now it's a nice green space for enjoying nature.

Other Cool Features

The reservation also has places for picnicking, restrooms, and even concessions where you can buy snacks. If you like fishing, you can do that here too! There are also first aid stations and information points if you need help.
