7 Layers Album Success (2014-2015)
On January 31, 2014, Dotan released his album called 7 Layers. He produced this album himself. It quickly became very popular in the Netherlands. The album reached number 2 on the Dutch Top 100 Charts.
His first song from the album, "Fall," came out on January 17, 2014. The second song, "Home," became a huge hit. It was played a lot on Dutch radio stations. "Home" stayed at number 1 on the Dutch MegaTop50 chart for four weeks. It also reached number 1 in Belgium.
The album 7 Layers earned a "Gold" award by August 25, 2014. This means it sold many copies. The song "Home" received a "Double Platinum" award. This shows it was incredibly popular. By October 2015, the album was "Double Platinum" in the Netherlands. "Home" became "Triple Platinum" by December 2014. The song also did well on the Billboard chart in America.

"Shadow Wind" and Numb (2016-Present)
In January 2016, Dotan started his own concert series. It is called "7 Layers Sessions." These concerts take place in Amsterdam. He uses these events to help new and talented musicians. The sessions were very popular and sold out quickly. A festival version of 7 Layers was also held in 2016.
Dotan released his song "Shadow Wind" on August 4, 2016. This song was chosen as the anthem for the 2016 Olympic Games. "Shadow Wind" was also a big hit on Dutch radio. It reached number one on the airplay chart. After touring Europe, Dotan performed a sold-out show. This was at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam in 2018.
On May 22, 2020, Dotan released an EP (a shorter album) called Numb.
