The Duduk is an ancient woodwind instrument. It comes from Armenia. It is very special because of its unique sound.
History
The Duduk is one of the oldest instruments in the world. It uses a double reed, like an oboe. This instrument is over 3,000 years old! You can find many different kinds of duduks in Armenia and the Caucasus region.
The history of Armenian duduk music goes way back. It was played during the time of King Tigranes the Great (95-55 BC). This king was a very important ruler of Armenia. The Duduk can also be seen in old Armenian books from the Middle Ages.
