The Dupont-Kalorama Museums Consortium is a special group of museums in Washington, D.C.. It was created in 1983. Its main goal is to help promote museums that are not located on the famous National Mall. The National Mall is where many of D.C.'s biggest museums are found.

Most of the museums in this group are in historic neighborhoods. These areas are called Dupont Circle and Kalorama. They are also close to "Embassy Row," where many countries have their embassies. When the Consortium started, it had seven museums. Now, it has grown to include nine different museums.

One of the most exciting events this group organizes is the free Museum Walk Weekend. This happens every year on the first full weekend in June. It's a great chance for everyone to visit these museums for free! The Consortium has been recognized for its hard work. For example, Cultural Tourism DC once honored it as a "Member of the Week."
