Dyami Brown (pronounced dee-AH-mee; born November 1, 1999) is a professional American football player. He plays as a wide receiver for the Washington Commanders team in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the NFL, Dyami played college football for the North Carolina Tar Heels. He was chosen by the Washington team in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Growing Up: Dyami Brown's Early Life
Dyami Brown grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He went to West Mecklenburg High School. In his junior year, he caught passes for 999 yards and scored 14 touchdowns. He also played defense and made five interceptions.
During his senior year, Dyami caught 41 passes for 631 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also ran the ball for five touchdowns. Experts thought he was the best wide receiver in his state. He decided to play college football for the Tar Heels at the University of North Carolina.

Freshman Year Success (2018)
As a freshman, Dyami caught 17 passes. He gained 173 yards and scored one touchdown.
Sophomore Year Achievements (2019)
In his second year, he had 51 receptions for 1,034 yards. He led the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) by averaging 20.3 yards per catch. He also tied a school record with 12 touchdowns.
He was named ACC Receiver of the Week after a great game against the Virginia Cavaliers. In that game, he caught six passes for 202 yards and three touchdowns. He earned the award again after catching six passes for 150 yards against NC State.
Junior Year and All-American Honor (2020)
In 2020, Dyami had another amazing season. He gained over 1,000 yards and scored eight touchdowns. He was named a third-team All-American by the Associated Press. This means he was one of the best college players in the country.
He was also the first player since 2000 to average at least 20 yards per catch for two years in a row. Dyami decided not to play in the 2021 Orange Bowl. He wanted to get ready for the 2021 NFL draft. His younger brother, Khafre, also played wide receiver at North Carolina.

Professional Football Career
Dyami Brown was chosen by the Washington Football Team in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He was the 82nd player picked overall. He signed his first professional contract on May 13, 2021.
Rookie Season (2021)
Dyami played his first NFL game in the opening week of the season. He finished his rookie year playing in 15 games. He caught 12 passes for 165 yards. He did not score any touchdowns in his first season.
Second and Third Seasons (2022-2023)
