Elijah Bernard Jordan (born June 11, 1959), also known as E. Bernard Jordan, is an American television speaker and writer. He is the founder of Zoe Ministries. He writes books about a belief system called prosperity theology.

Jordan grew up in the Bedford-Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn. He felt he received a special calling through a dream when he was 15 years old. When he was 23, he started Zoe Ministries in New York City. Jordan studied at the Tabernacle Bible Institute and the Manhattan Bible Institute. He also earned a Master of Divinity degree in 2019 and a Doctor of Ministry degree in 2022 from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. In 1994, he became a bishop.

In 2007, his book The Laws of Thinking became a New York Times Best Seller.

About His Ministry

Zoe Ministries started with services held in a member's home. Later, they moved to hotels and then to a theater in New York City. Jordan had a TV show called "Power of Prophecy" from 1991 to about 1997.

His ministry teaches that if people give money, like donations to his ministry, they will receive good things and success in return. This idea is part of what is known as "prosperity ministry."

In 2007, Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley honored Jordan for his work. He is friends with Al Sharpton. He also mentors famous people, including Joseph "Reverend Run" Simmons from Run-DMC. In 2004, Reverend Run gave Jordan a new Rolls-Royce car as a thank you for his guidance. This car was worth $325,000.

Jordan lives a comfortable life. He sometimes wears a black, hooded robe, especially at special events for Zoe Ministries. He used to live in Tuxedo Park with his wife, Debra, and their five children. Now, he lives in a large home in Saddle River, New Jersey.
