History of the ENAC Foundation
How the Foundation Started
Before the Foundation began, the ENAC school was already busy. In 2009, the school and its former students held their first book fair about aviation. Then, in December 2010, ENAC became a special training center. It was chosen by the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) to teach about aviation safety.
Key Milestones and Support
The ENAC Foundation was officially created in 2012. Two years later, in 2014, they started giving out their first scholarships. These scholarships helped students travel and study in other countries. In 2015, the Foundation helped set up an important research program. This program focused on UAVs, which are also known as drones. They worked with companies like Ineo, Cofely, and Sagem on this project. Since 2017, the Foundation has also received support from GIFAS. GIFAS is a group that represents French aerospace companies.
