History of Earlton

Earlton was started in 1870. For a few years, not much happened in the community. But around 1876, things changed when a railroad station was built there. This helped the community grow.

A post office opened in Earlton in 1871. At first, it was called Earleton. The post office stayed open for many years but closed down in 1976.
