What is Earthfasts About?
This series tells a mysterious story about two friends and strange events. It mixes history with fantasy in a very exciting way. The show explores what happens when different times collide.
The Mysterious Drumming
The story begins with two schoolboys, Keith and David. They are played by Chris Downs and Paul Nicholls. They live near a moor, which is a wide, open area of land. One day, they hear a strange drumming sound coming from under a hill.
Curious, the boys decide to investigate this mystery. As they get closer, something incredible happens. The hillside suddenly opens up!
A Visitor from the Past
Out of the hill steps Nellie Jack John, played by Bryan Dick. He is a drummer boy, but he's not from their time. He has traveled all the way from the 18th century! Nellie Jack John is very confused and lost in this new, modern world. He wants to go back home to his own time.
The Strange Candle
Before he leaves, the drummer boy accidentally leaves something behind. It's a candle, but it's no ordinary candle. David discovers that this candle gives off cold instead of heat. Even stranger, it never burns down!
This magical candle seems to cause other weird things to happen. Standing stones on the moor start to move on their own. The ground begins to shake, and all the pigs in the area mysteriously disappear.
The Search for David
David becomes obsessed with the strange, cold candle. He feels drawn to it and decides to go underground. He doesn't return, leaving Keith worried. Keith then begins a desperate search for his missing friend. During his search, Keith has a spooky encounter with ghostly warriors. The series follows Keith's journey to find David and understand the strange events.
