East Brainerd is a community located in Hamilton County, Tennessee, in the United States. It is an unincorporated community, which means it's not an official city or town with its own local government. It used to be called a "census-designated place" (CDP). This is a special area created by the United States Census Bureau just for counting people.
In the year 2000, about 14,132 people lived in East Brainerd. The population was not counted separately in the 2010 census. East Brainerd is part of the larger Chattanooga metropolitan area, which includes the city of Chattanooga and nearby areas in both Tennessee and Georgia.
