East Nassau is a small village located in Rensselaer County, New York, in the United States. In 2010, about 587 people lived there.

The Village of East Nassau is found in the eastern part of the town of Nassau. It's right near the border of the Town of Stephentown. You can find it close to Routes 20 and 66.

History of East Nassau

This community was first known as "Schermerhorn's." This name came from one of the very first people who lived there. East Nassau officially became a village in 1998. This means it got its own local government.

The old East Nassau Central School building is an important historical site. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. This list helps protect important buildings.
