The Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA) is an international group. It helps countries in Asia and the Pacific improve how their governments work. EROPA aims to make public services better and more efficient for everyone.
This organization was officially started on December 5, 1960. Its main goal is to help countries grow economically and socially. It does this by promoting the study and practice of "public administration." This term means how governments manage their daily tasks and services for citizens.
EROPA works closely with the United Nations Public Administration Network (UNPAN). It also has a special connection with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. This means EROPA can share its ideas and advice with the United Nations.
Where EROPA Works
The main office for EROPA is in the Philippines. It is located at the National College of Public Administration and Governance. This college is part of the University of the Philippines in Quezon City. The Philippines hosted the first big meeting about public administration in 1958.
