Eastfield is a quiet, mainly residential area. It is located on the northeastern edge of Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland. This district sits between Joppa and the border of Edinburgh with Musselburgh.

Eastfield is bordered by the Firth of Forth to the north. To the west, you'll find Joppa and the main East Coast railway line. Farmland and the beautiful grounds of Newhailes House are to the south. Newhailes House is a property cared for by the National Trust for Scotland. The western side of Eastfield leads towards Musselburgh along the coast. Here, you can see the small harbour at Fisherrow. Besides homes, Eastfield also has Portobello Cemetery and a private five-hole golf course.
