Eddie Perfect (born 17 December 1977) is a talented Australian musician, comedian, writer, and actor. He is well-known for playing Mick Holland in the TV show Offspring, where he also performed his own songs. Eddie has released solo albums and created many cabaret shows. His musical comedy Shane Warne: The Musical won several awards in 2009. He also wrote music for Broadway shows like Beetlejuice and King Kong.

Early Life and Education
Eddie Perfect was born in Melbourne, Australia, on 17 December 1977. His parents, Judy and Tom Perfect, were teachers. He has two sisters. Eddie's father, Tom, was from England and later moved to Australia. Eddie went to St Bede's College in Mentone, Victoria. He was the top student there in 1995. After high school, he studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He finished his studies in 2001.

This show made fun of Australian politics, society, and how much people buy things. Drink Pepsi, ...! was performed at festivals around the world. These included the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Auckland Festival. He also performed it at the Sydney Opera House. He had to change the show's title for the Sydney Opera House. This was because the drink company was a main sponsor of the venue.
In 2007, Eddie was in Keating! the Musical. He played several different characters in this show. One of his roles was a funny version of a former Australian politician, Alexander Downer.
Creating Shane Warne: The Musical
In 2008, Eddie Perfect wrote Shane Warne: The Musical. This musical was a funny story about the life of famous Australian cricketer Shane Warne. The show was first tested at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in 2007. It then had more practice showings in Melbourne in 2008. Shane Warne The Musical officially opened in Melbourne on 10 December 2008. After that, it went on a tour across Australia. In 2009, the musical won important awards. These included the Helpmann Award for Best New Australian Work. The show was updated to include new parts of Warne's life. It was performed again in Melbourne in June 2013. Eddie Perfect played Shane Warne himself. Other stars like Lisa McCune and Shane Jacobson were also in the show.
Other Performances and TV Roles
In 2010, Eddie performed Songs from the Middle. This was a series of songs inspired by his childhood. He also played the main character, Mack the Knife, in The Threepenny Opera. He performed this role in Melbourne and Sydney. He hosted a TV show called Ultimate School Musical on FOX8. Later that year, he played Mick Holland in the TV comedy-drama Offspring. He also presented an award at the 2010 ARIA Music Awards.
His solo show Misanthropology started in January 2011. It was part of the Sydney Festival. In this show, Eddie used humor to look at human behavior and cultural habits. He wanted people to laugh and think about how silly humans can be.
Eddie Perfect's Broadway Success
In 2015, Eddie Perfect moved to New York City. He wanted to work on Broadway, which is famous for its musicals. There, he wrote songs for two big Broadway musicals. These were King Kong and Beetlejuice. King Kong opened in October 2018 and closed in August 2019. Beetlejuice opened in April 2019.
Returning to the Stage in Australia
After his success in New York, Eddie planned to return to Australia. He was set to star in Dolly Parton's musical, 9 to 5. He played the main role of Franklin Hart Jr. The show was supposed to start in Sydney in April 2020. However, because of the global coronavirus pandemic, it was delayed. The show finally opened in Sydney in February 2022. It also played in Brisbane and Melbourne in 2022.
In May 2025, Eddie played the main role in the Australian premiere of Beetlejuice the Musical.

In November 2011, Eddie hosted the Inside Film Awards in Sydney.
In October 2015, it was announced that Eddie Perfect would be a new judge on Australia's Got Talent. He joined the show for its eighth season.
In December 2019, Eddie wrote a song for a new advertisement. This ad was for Tourism Australia and was aimed at people in Britain. It was shown before the Queen's annual Christmas message.
In 2020, Eddie Perfect was on The Masked Singer Australia. He was the "Frillneck" and finished in third place on the show's second season.
Personal Life
Eddie Perfect is married to Lucy Cochran. They got married in 2009. Lucy's brother is the composer and pianist Julian Cochran. Eddie and Lucy have two daughters.
