The San Diego Chargers selected Edwin Baker in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL draft. This meant he was one of the last players chosen that year. He stayed with the Chargers for a while. However, on August 25, 2013, the team decided to release him.
Time with the Denver Broncos
After leaving the Chargers, Baker joined the Denver Broncos. He was signed to their practice squad on September 2, 2013. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster. They can be called up if needed. He was released by the Broncos on November 19, 2013.
Brief Stop with the Houston Texans
