The Life of Efrén Rebolledo
Efrén Rebolledo was born in Actopan, Hidalgo. His mother was Petra Rebolledo, who was from the Otomi people. He grew up in Pachuca and his family faced hard times. He was a very bright student. He earned a scholarship to attend a special school. This school was the Scientific and Literary Institute. It was part of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo. Later, he studied law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He became a lawyer.

Rebolledo started to get noticed for his poetry around 1900. He wrote for several important magazines. One of these was Revista Moderna. Its director, Jesús E. Valenzuela, helped him a lot. Later Years and Family
From 1919 to 1922, Rebolledo worked as a diplomat in Oslo, Norway. While there, he met Thorborg Blomkvist. They got married in 1921. They had three children together. After his work in Norway, he moved to Madrid, Spain.
