Discovering El Tiemblo's Location

This means lots of opportunities for water activities! Nearby towns include El Barraco, Cebreros, San Martin de Valdeiglesias, Casillas, and Navahondilla.

The town also sits on the southern side of the impressive Sierra de Gredos mountains. You can find some tall peaks nearby, like Alto del Mirlo (1,725 meters high), La Parra (1,637 meters), and La Encinilla (1,604 meters).

Exploring Nature at Valle de Iruelas Natural Park

A special part of El Tiemblo's land is within the Valle de Iruelas Natural Park. This park is super important because it's home to a large group of black vultures (Aegypius monachus). These amazing birds are quite rare, so the park helps protect them.

Inside this natural park, you'll find the Castañar de El Tiemblo. This is a beautiful chestnut tree forest with trees that are hundreds of years old! The oldest one is even called "El Abuelo," which means "The Grandfather." People say it's more than 500 years old. Imagine all the history that tree has seen!
