The Panama humming frog, known scientifically as Elachistocleis panamensis, is a small frog. It belongs to the Microhylidae family, which includes many types of narrow-mouthed frogs. This species was first described in 1948.
You can find the Panama humming frog in two countries: Colombia and Panama. It is quite common in some parts of Panama. However, it is not considered common in Colombia. These frogs like to live in open, grassy areas. Sometimes, they can also be found inside forests. They are often seen in places like pastures and farmland. When it's time to lay eggs, these frogs choose to breed in ponds.
