Early Life and Talents
Elen Levon was born in Ukraine on July 13, 1994. Soon after, her family moved to Sydney, Australia. She began taking ballet classes and learning other types of dance when she was just three years old.
Her mother worked in the fashion industry. This meant Elen often modeled and walked the runway for her mother's and friends' fashion shows. When she was six, Elen discovered she could sing. She decided then that singing was what she wanted to do forever.
She joined a performing arts school to improve her skills. There, she trained in many areas. These included different dance styles, musical theater, singing, and acting.
Music Career
Elen Levon got her first management deal when she was 13. In 2008, she was chosen to join an Australian pop group called Panjo 5. This happened through a TV show called Airtime, which aired on Foxtel's Nickelodeon channel. The group released two songs together before breaking up in November 2009.
Solo Music Journey
In early 2011, Elen signed with Ministry of Sound as a solo artist. She performed her first solo show at Supafest, a big urban music festival in Australia. She also toured with famous artists like 50 Cent and Lil' Kim for the Winterbeatz festival.
Her first solo song, "Naughty", came out on September 30, 2011. This song reached number 60 on the Australian ARIA Charts. It was also used in a TV advertisement for the American show Gossip Girl on Fox8.
Since then, Elen has released more successful songs with Ministry of Sound. She has become very popular in Europe, especially in Italy.
Musical Inspirations
Elen Levon finds ideas for her music from all kinds of music styles. When she was a young girl, she admired big superstar performers. She especially looked up to Madonna and Michael Jackson. Elen once said, "I used to watch Madonna and Michael Jackson on TV and say to myself, 'I want to do that one day.'"
